Alex Chu (알렉스 추) is a Korean-Canadian singer who was first noticed for his vocal work in the group called Clazziquai Project, known for its upbeat and groovy tunes and flexibility between continental genres. His voice contributed a velvety quality that complemented that of Horan’s, the other singer in the group. Early on in 2008, he and Horan went on to do more independent projects since much of Clazziquai’s style comes from DJ Clazzi, the third member of the group who takes charge of the musical arrangements.

Alex’s character on We Got Married is one that is romantic, sensitive, and generous. He seizes every opportunity to help Shin Ae feel welcome with his voice and his touch. Fellow Clazziquai member Horan confirmed that he is genuinely like that in real life outside of the show. Contrary to the belief that Alex is a huge lady’s man, he admits that he’s actually never had the best luck with women.
