So sometimes you can’t see to believe.
Skewing a perception on purpose. When Alex and Shin Ae returned to the show, many viewers noticed that their segment on the show was curtailed to an unproportional fraction of the show. This uneven distribution of timing was thought to be the effect of cramming in five couples on the air at the time. However, even after one couple left, Alex and Shin Ae were still receiving about 7-10 minutes of time on the show when the entire episode averaged around 60-70 minutes. In theory, all the couples have an entire day together every two weeks. What exactly determines the cuts that make it to the actual show? Something didn’t seem right, especially since much of the clips that made it to the air only presented an awkward connection between the two.
There were leaks coming from the production staff of the show claiming that the production team was intentionally editing the clips for that awkward perception, which enraged many supporters. Even with the wedding shoot on the 100th day of their union, the photographer in charge of their shoot had mentioned on his home page that the two were very affectionate with each other even after the cameras stopped rolling. The photos that aired on the show were great, but many of the laughter-filled ones had not been included. What was there to gain from achieving this uncomfortable image of the couple exactly? Was it a ruse to gain higher ratings? No one has an exact idea.
With each subsequent episode, the couple did gain more air time. It’s been improving greatly, along with the couple’s image. Hopefully, the distribution between the couples will reach equilibrium once again.
